At Thurrock, our housing vision is 'to provide high quality housing opportunities in safe, clean and green environments'. We are changing the way we deliver our housing services and supporting residents early on by empowering them to be as independent as possible. Demand for social housing in Thurrock is much greater than the supply and the Allocations Scheme therefore provides access to accommodation that is responsive to the needs of local people in a fair, consistent and transparent way.
This role will ensure that the Allocations & Housing Registration Service continuously improves services delivered to both internal and external customers. This involves delivering a high quality customer support service for those approaching the Council with a housing need, ensuring the efficient maintenance of the Council's Housing Register as well as guaranteeing that good quality information can be obtained for both reporting and assessment purposes.
