In 2002 Inclusion was created as part of the award winning South Staffordshire & Shropshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. It was developed to provide evidence based innovative services to beneficiaries across England with the flexibility to provide local solutions to local communities but with the governance and commitment to quality of the NHS.
Successful in its endeavors, Inclusion has grown to both substance misuse and mental health services in the community, residential and prisons. Employing over 500 staff, including Psychiatrists, Counsellors, Doctors, Nurses, Therapists, Drug & Alcohol Recovery Workers, Peer Mentors and Volunteers. We provide services to in excess of 19,000 services users per annum across the Home Counties, Midlands, and East of England up to the North of England.
The range of services we provide allows us to work with our service users in prisons, extending this into community settings, tackling both substance misuse and mental health concerns. We believe that people can change, a resounding theme of our services that underpins our success is being flexible to changing need, not compromising on quality and understanding our responsibility in achieving the best possible outcomes for service users, families and communities.
Inclusion has extensive experience of working alongside and providing services to Clinical Commissioning Groups, Local Authority Public Health Teams, Police & Crime Commissioners, NOMS, NHS England and a broad range of public and voluntary sector institutions. Partnerships are important to us; we work with a range of providers to ensure there are comprehensive packages in place for our service users.

Community Connector, Inclusion Visions Thurrock
Full time, Band 4 (£20,150- £23,363)
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Inclusion Visions Substance Misuse Team as a Community Connector. At Inclusion we support people within Thurrock with substance misuse issues. As a Community Connector you will make a real difference to service users lives as you develop the personal, recovery focused and realistic support packages needed to help people make the changes needed to improve quality of life both for themselves, for families and the wider community Passionate about people you'll enjoy the opportunity to learn and develop, enhancing your own life whilst part of a dedicated, supportive multi disciplinary team.
We are looking for a person to work within the community in an essential liaison role to draw in local community assets to support the delivery of Recovery focussed outcomes, promoting and creating opportunities in education, employment, training, housing, social support, peer/mutual aid, health and wellbeing for the benefit of our service users. Your strong links with colleagues and other agencies will ensure we are providing tailored seamless support. You will carry a small caseload and work closely with our volunteer programme.
You must have experience of working with substance misuse and provide evidence of continuous professional development. You will also have excellent communication skills and have an ability to be flexible and take on an extremely varied and innovative role.
