There are two new and exciting opportunities to provide executive support to the Chief Executive and Directors at Thurrock Council.

We are also looking for a Directorate Support Assistant within the Strategy, Communications and Customer Services Directorate. You will provide high level support to the Director of Strategy, Communications and Customer Services and their Directorate Management Team, enabling them to efficiently fulfil their strategic management responsibilities and deliver the Council’s agreed priorities. This is a permanent role.

The ideal candidates will have previous experience of supporting senior managers, ideally in local government / public sector and be flexible in their approach with excellent organisational and communication skills.

You will have experience of providing quality executive support, and be able to manage competing priorities in a busy and dynamic organisation. The roles will require the postholders to maintain an overview of key issues in the council and relevant directorate, proactively forward plan and work alongside colleagues to ensure that an exemplary service is provided.
