An excellent opportunity has become available within Homeownership Services. We are now recruiting for the full time, permanent position of Homeownership Officer.

To be considered for this role, you’ll need experience of working in a front line customer focused service, with a good understanding of Right to buy administration, service charges and statutory consultation for major works.

Our leaseholders are at the heart of everything we do, and as Homeownership Officer, you’ll ensure our leaseholders are consulted on Major Works to be carried out to their block and ensure all compliance is met to enable prompt and accurate billing.

You’ll work closely with colleagues across the Directorate and be responsible for the administration of applications made under the Right to Buy scheme. You will be required to, allocate, calculate, and apportion service charge cost in accordance with relevant legislation and accepted Good Practice. You will also need experience of section 20 consultations in accordance with Commonhold and leasehold Reform Act 2002.

To fulfil the requirements of this demanding role you will need to be adaptable, flexible, with an eye for detail. As a customer facing service, you will deal with enquiries from leaseholders and their legal representatives on leasehold management and complex issues. You will also be required to undertake face to face interviews where required.
