Thurrock is a progressive council with an ambitious digital strategy. We are seeking to appoint a creative and innovative individual to the post of Information Systems Analyst. This permanent role is to support the effective use and development of information systems supporting Adults and Children’s Services.

Ideally we are looking for someone with experience of education systems to support out Synergy Suite.

The post will provide support to internal colleagues.

Key skills & experience required:

Proven relational database management skills

Demonstrable training and system implementation skills

Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people at all levels

Experience of working in the Adults or Children’s Services sector

Ability to work using own initiative and be innovative within all aspects of the role

Ability to identify and resolve data quality issues

Experience of supporting the Synergy Education Suite will be preferable.

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience of effective information systems management within the Adult’s or Children’s sector

Demonstrable skills in training users and providing guidance documents

Ability to support system developments to meet business needs

Knowledge of business process mapping and workflows

Experience of system development projects and responsibilities for robust user acceptance testing

Attention to detail with experience of implementing data quality processes and reporting
