Our vision at Thurrock Adult Community College is to provide adult education where people have opportunity to learn, grow and shape their future.

To ensure we achieve our goals we are looking for qualified internal verifiers to support our Counselling and Mental Health Awareness accredited courses. The successful applicants will carry out internal verification and moderation on qualifications to meet with organisational and awarding body requirements and be expected to attend regular standardisation meetings.

We are looking to expand our quality assurance team and our focus at present is to recruit Internal Verifiers who can IV the following courses: -

Internal Verifiers

Counselling and Mental Health Awareness

Salary: £15.88 per hour

Variable hours/sessional start dates throughout the year

The Care curriculum is an integral part of Thurrock Adult Community College and has been growing since NHS England introduced its ‘Next Steps for the NHS Five Year Forward View’ with a commitment in the 2018 budget to invest over 2 billion pounds into mental health services.

The curriculum offers a broad range of learning opportunities to meet both local needs and government priorities. Overall aims of the curriculum are to support local residents into employment in the care sector, to up skill and gain recognised qualifications to support their chosen career path. Courses include introductory workshops in Counselling and Mental health Awareness, Counselling and Mental Health Awareness accreditation courses from levels 1 to 3.

You will join a supportive quality assurance team who are responsible for delivering our vocational courses. Our team is committed to developing the employability skills of local residents.

Qualifications – You must have proven expertise in quality assuring in the Counselling and Mental Health sector and gained a recognised Internal Quality Assurance qualification at level 4.
