Salary ‚?? ¬?36,534 - ¬?47,646 per annum (+ Market Factor Supplement of up to ¬?10,000 with an additional¬†Retention payment up to ¬?2,000 per annum)*

Are you a Team Manager with the passion and experience to help children and young people who are not able to live with their families? In this role you‚??ll manage the direction, delivery and performance of a team for children who are looked after. Here in Thurrock we place great significance on providing the best services for our children who are looked after.

You will provide management direction for looked after children whose primary plan is long term care up to the age of 18 and working in partnership with our fostering and placements services. You‚??ll make sure the quality of our professional practice is highly effective, that our social work is clear, simple and understood by children and their families. Your priority will be to ensure permanency planning is actively pursued across the team and the whole service and to reunify families where it is safe to do so.

You will be an innovator, able to consider new ways of doing things, whilst fulfilling our statutory responsibilities and maximising our use of resources. Thurrock is ambitious for our looked after children and we require an ambitious Team Manager to complete our Management team.

*The Market Supplement payment is applicable after 6 months service and subject to performance and continued corporate approval.
