Intelligence and forward thinking is key to driving service and process improvements within the Housing directorate voids team.



As a Voids Officer you will have an opportunity to help shape the future of Thurrock’s Voids service as we continually strive to improve our service. You will be part of a voids team consisting of another 2 void officers and will directly report into the Voids team Leader you will be expected to manage all the day to day operations of the Councils voids within your allocated geographical area and keep up to date records on the Void Tracker which monitors the team’s performance which feeds into the operational performance reports which are used across the directorate. You will also be expected to continually build and develop good working relationships with Service providers and other Thurrock departments working in partnership with Estate Management and Lettings departments to ensure High quality voids and turnaround KPI’s are met.



An operational understanding of voids processes and repairs experience would be preferred for this post however is not essential as other transferable skills may be suitable. You will be required to respond to concerns and Stage 1 and 2 complaints in relation to Voids.

To be considered for this role you must be highly motivated individual who is committed and determined to continually improve service and adapt to any changes in processes, a good us of all Microsoft Applications, particularly Microsoft Word / Excel. You will be expected to have experience in dealing with complaints
