The consultation, being run by the Mid and South Essex CCG Joint Committee, incorporates plans for four new Integrated Medical Centres across the borough which were previously announced by Thurrock Council.
Portfolio Holder for Health, Cllr James Halden, said: â??I welcome the publication of the consultation â?? we intend to respond fully and constructively. This is about getting hospital services closer to the people in modern facilities.
â??Our response will reflect the memorandum of understanding we have with our NHS partners - no clinical services will leave Orsett until they are provided within the new and modern Integrated Medical Centres, and no clinical services serving Thurrock people will leave Thurrock at all.
â??I encourage all those who wish to have their say on the future of health services in Thurrock to take part in the consultation and come along to the public meetings.â?
